Is There More than One Wiring Color Code Pin Out for 7-Ways on Gooseneck Trailer
Question:
My 6 wires is not giving me whats needed to make everything work right. Black brown white green red. Yellow were do they go on my new plug its a 7 way plug. 6 around 1 in the middle

There are two wiring codes that typically get used for 7-way connectors and the only difference is the color of the wires and not the actual pin out. I attached a picture that shows the two common styles. If your trailer uses one style and the connector another you can use the diagram to see what would go where.
The other option is to use a jumper wire from a vehicle battery to apply to each wire (not white as that's ground and would spark) to see what lights up/activates and wire accordingly using the diagrams.
