Great news! There is a Blue Ox Base Plate available for the 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with part # BX1143 so you can continue to use your Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar part # BX7420. This base plate also fits models with the 2-speed transfer case and active air shutters if your model has those features. I have attached a photo for your reference.

To flat tow, you will also need tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system and a possibly a high low adapter.

For the tow bar wiring I recommend Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267 which provides you with a 6-way on the front of the Jeep and a coiled cord to connect the Jeep to the 7-Way at the rear of the motor home for a clean looking install.

The supplemental braking system I recommend is the Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System part # SM99251 which features a small actuating air cylinder to depresses the brake pedal of the Jeep when the motor home brakes are activated. The cylinder stays in the vehicle out of the way even when you want to drive the Jeep compared to the other recurring portable braking systems that need to be removed from the floor board every time you want to drive the towed vehicle.

If your motor home happens to have air brakes, you can use Air Force One part # SM99243 which is the same setup but for air brakes.

Finally you may need a high low adapter to tow the vehicle level with the motor home. In order to know how much rise or drop it will require to tow level some measuring is required. I have attached a helpful article that helps you figure out which high low adapter may be needed and our selection of high low adapters.
