Recommended Trailer Towing Setup for 2020 BMW X5
Question:
Can you recommend to me a list of things I'll need in order to tow with my 2020 BMW X5 please? I know the hitch and wiring and ball mount, is that correct?

You are 100 percent correct that in order to tow with your 2020 BMW X5 you will need a trailer hitch along with a trailer wiring harness to power your trailer lights and a ball mount which will attach your trailer to your BMW.
Let's start with the hitch and for that I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76288 because it does not require any drilling to install which is great for your BMW, and because it has a concealed crosstube so your 2020 X5 will maintain it's distinguished look.
For a wiring harness I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT because it just clamps onto your BMW's tail light wires so you don't have to do any messy splicing or cutting of your factory wires. Additionally, I also highly recommend using Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755 to help prevent any type of corrosion in your connector; using it will increase your 4-way's durability and extend its lifespan.
The ball mount I recommend is the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which comes with a 1-7/8" hitch ball and 2" hitch ball to pair with your trailer's coupler. To secure this ball mount to your hitch you will need Pin and Clip # PC3.
