Can In-Bed Camper Jacks be Used to Lift Off Truck Camper Shell

Question:

I purchase these jacks to remove my camper shell from my Ford 350 super duty so that I can put my nortic fox camper on. Has anyone else ran into this situation and if so, what can I do with my jacks to accomplish what I want done. Any ideas on how to use these jacks to get this done. Maybe running a 2x4 or something between jacks or???? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

The L-Bracket on the Brophy Cable Camper Jacks # CJ74 would need to slide under your camper shell on either side and then you would use the winches to help raise the camper shell off of your Ford F-350. You can use 2x4s if you want to but really the camper jacks can handle the weight so it really boils down to finding a way to stabilize your camper shell.

Since these camper jacks were designed to be used for an in-bed truck camper I'm not sure if I have any pointers for your application exactly other than just making sure you have more than one person lifting the camper shell at least the first time you do this so that you can make sure it doesn't just tumble off.
