Is Any Drilling Required to Install B&W Trailer Hitch on 2002 Dodge Ram 2500
Question:
I bought this hitch for my 2002 dodge ram 2500. Do I have to drill out the forward hole because theres no hole there and the instructions say nothing about drilling holes. Am I missing something here or did they put the wrong mounting brackets in the box?

I took a look at the instructions of the B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25132 and you are right that they make no specific mention of drilling, just a general note that "modification may be required." What I learned is that on your 2002 Dodge Ram 2500, the forward-most hole on some short bed models do not have have the forward-most hole there, so it would require drilling. Due to this, the instructions did not include a specific note about drilling, but based on what I found, it is going to be required on your truck.
