For starters, the correct Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers for a 2018 Ford F-150 is part # 22292 which is then compatible with the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160. If you have the correct harness then first step is to check the brake controller fuse which will either be #24 in the engine bay fuse box or #4 in the passenger fuse box.
If you have the correct harness and both fuses are good then apply power directly to the controller (while grounded) to see if you can get it turned on that way. If still no power then the controller is bad and will need to be replaced but otherwise you will need to take the vehicle into the dealer or service.
