Expert Reply:
I believe you are referring to the Ribbed Rubber Trailer Mat part # 4872SM which is designed for enclosed trailers. It may hold up outside but it is not designed to withstand the elements like UV rays. It weighs about 62 lbs.
I recommend to use DeeZee Universal 6' Long x 3-1/2' Utility Mat for Trucks and Trailers part # DZ85009 if you can get away with losing a 1/2 ft of coverage. If not you can use DeeZee Universal Utility Mat for Trucks and Trailers - 8' Long x 4' Wide part # DZ85005 and cut it to fit. The DeeZee Utility mats are designed for outside use and are constructed to deflect UV rays so they won't crack or dry rot.
