Can Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for 2007 Toyota Tundra Double Cab Carry Kayaks Down Dirt Roads

Question:

I cannot open the fitment guide online and want to know the spacing between the crossbars for this rack. Also what constites offroad use? I want to carry two 82# fishing kayaks which is at the upper limit and we may go down ocassional dirt roads to get to launch sites. On these roads we are actually driving very conservatively I am, honestly, interested in any system that would fit my vehicle and carry that weight. We would probably load them on their gunnels like a canoe and have no additional weight in them -

There are a couple of Rhino-Rack roof racks that fit your 2007 Toyota Tundra Double Cab and have the capacity for you to carry your two 82 lb fishing kayaks, which I'll go over for you. In regards to what constitutes off-road, in the directions, Rhino-Rack states the load rating (which is 165 lbs for the rack) should be divided by two when "driven off sealed roads." Realistically, so long as you drive conservatively along the occasional dirt road to get to your launch site, there isn't going to be an issue. This is a warning mostly for people who want to extensively go off-roading for camping and the like as opposed to occasional dirt roads.

As for the Rhino-Rack roof rack that fits your 2007 Tundra Double Cab I highly recommend the aero bar rack because the added price is worth it because you get a quieter ride.

- Aero Bar: Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA150B-2 (Black) or # RRVA150S-2 (Silver), Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs # RRRLKVA, Custom DK Fit Kit # DK079

I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well.
