Thread Sealant Used with Replacement Female Quick Disconnect for SMI Air Force One # SM99613

Question:

I have purchased and received the Replacement Female Quick Disconnect for SMI Air Force One # SM99613. In the answer to a previous question: 202044 it was noted that the installation is fairly straightforward, especially if the base is still intact enough to reuse and you only need to quick-disconnect end. That is the case for my replacement and I want to simply unscrew the very end and replace with the new rather than dealing with the hose. I notice there is some red coating, I suppose a thread lock. QUESTION: Is there a special red thread lock? material I should use? For example, I have Loctite Threadlocker RED 271.

The Replacement Female Quick Disconnect for SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # SM99613 that you referenced uses a thread sealer but does not use a thread locker. You could use the # A05-0265 but do not use the red Loctite you have as it's designed for permanent locking.
