Bike Rack Options to Carry 50 Lb Electric Bike on 2013 Chevy Impala
Question:
My son has a 2013 Chevy Impala with trunk spoiler. He has an electric bike that he’d like to transport. He’d like a trunk rack. What would be the most economical rack that he could do this with? I’ve included a picture of his bike.

I do have a solution for you, however, no trunk bike rack has the capacity to carry the weight of your electric bike. According to my research, your son's Ancheer electric bike weights approximately 50 lbs and most trunk bike racks max out at 35 lbs per individual bike, including the Thule Passage # TH910XT you were checking out.
Your only option is to install a trailer hitch for use with a hitch mounted rack. This eliminates any potential issues with the factory spoiler as well. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36407 is custom fit for your son's 2013 Impala, so it's a pretty simple, straightforward, bolt-on installation. This means you and your son could likely install the hitch without the need to pay a shop to do it for you. If you click on the video link I've included at the bottom of the page, you can see for yourself how easy this is.
The most economical hitch bike rack that can carry your 50 lb electric bike and is also compatible with an 1-1/4 hitch is the RockyMounts MonoRail # RKY10007. It includes an anti-wobble, threaded hitch pin to help reduce any play between your bike rack and the hitch receiver, especially beneficial since the Impala has such limited ground clearance.
