To add an electric brake controller to the 2019 Ford Transit T350 with factory tow package, first you need a 7-way plug at the rear of the Transit. If you do not have a 7-Way plug you can use Hopkins plug part # HM40975 that connects to your vehicle's OEM wiring.
For a brake controller, I recommend Curt Echo Brake Controller part # C51180 which plugs in line with the 7-way connector and has a built in inertia sensor. The built in inertia sensor senses with the Transit is braking and activates the trailer brakes. The trailer brake controller settings like the manual override can be controlled via smart phone app so you don't need a bulky brake controller box on the dash. I have attached a couple of videos for your reference.
