The Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41947 is designed to fit the pickup versions of the 1977 Chevy C/K Series truck. Since you have the cab and chassis version you need to use the Curt Class IV Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14082 instead which fits as long as your frame is 34" wide outside to outside.

This does require drilling for the installation but it is confirmed to fit your cab and chassis (as long as the frame width is correct as mentioned above). I'm not sure if the Draw-Tite option would fit or if any modifications would need to take place to do so but I do advise against modifying anything as the trailer hitch hasn't been tested and approved to be modified.
