Completely Hidden Hitch Recommendation for 2019 Volkswagen Golf GTI
Question:
I periodically carry a bike rack on the back of my VW Golf GTI but I also use my trunk a lot. I've had hitches in the past where I end up banging my shins on the tube when I'm trying to get stuff out of the trunk so I'd like a hitch that either sits far under the car or the receiver can be removed easily when I'm not using it- is there such a thing?

We have just what you're looking for! Take a look at the EcoHitch Stealth # 306-X7375 . This hitch mounts completely behind the bumper on your 2019 Volkswagen Golf GTI and has a receiver that is easily removed for storage when not in use- so you'll never know there's a hitch on your vehicle when it's not in use.
If by chance you're also looking for a new bike rack to go with your new EcoHitch, I love the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT Rack # TH92BJ. This is a fold down rack so that you'll be able to access the rear cargo area of your Golf with bikes mounted. Additionally, the ratcheting arms on central mast allow quick and easy bike loading
and these arms move independently to accommodate 2 different bike sizes. The platform rack style makes it easy to load and unload your bike, plus since this is a 2 bike carrier you'll be able to bring along a friend. I also really like that this rack comes with both a hitch lock as well as a bike lock for added security.
