Best Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2019 VW Golf SportWagen
Question:
I'm looking for a hitch and wiring setup to tow a small trailer behind my 2019 VW Golf SportWagen. I'd like something that has a more hidden look and I'm not great with electrical so I'm looking for a wiring harness that is plug and play if possible. What do you recommend?

I have the perfect solution for you! Take a look at the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch # 306-X7315 . This hitch receiver is mounted behind the bumper for a concealed cross tube, so you'll only see the receiver once it's mounted to the vehicle. This hitch will provide you with a 2" receiver so not only will it be better for towing your small trailer, you're going to have the ability to use a wider variety of hitch mounted accessories. The other great thing about going with the EcoHitch is that it will give you more ground clearance than the other hitches available for your vehicle.
For wiring, I recommend using the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT . This kit will provide you with a zero contact interface (ZCI) wiring experience- this means no plugging, no wire cutting, just clip on to the wiring on your vehicle and go. The zero-contact interface sensors identify the current flowing through each wire by simply clamping onto it and will provide you with a 4 way connection at the back of your 2019 VW Golf SportWagen.
To finish off your towing setup, you'll need a ball mount and hitch ball. I recommend going with the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which will provide you with 2 ball mounts that can be used at different rise/drop setups which will be especially helpful considering the lower ground clearance on your 2019 VW Golf SportWagen.
