Is Sliding Hitch Needed on 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 if Trailer Has Orbital Pin Box

Question:

The seller told me i do not have to use a sliding fifth wheel hitch with the new orbital pin box. if this is true can i use any fifth wheel hitch. i have a reese 15000 lb. Hitch just wondering if that is ok to use if it will clear the handle and lock when i make a turn, or do i need a new hitch

The seller was correct and you will not need a new fifth wheel hitch for your 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 since you have the MORryde Orbital Pin Box as this is a rotating pin box which will allow you to make a turn because it adds clearance. So you're good to go with your Reese hitch and won't have to add the expense of a new fifth wheel hitch.

The only thing you may need for your '19 Silverado 1500 if you don't have one is a fifth wheel wiring harness, and for that I recommend the Demco 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # DM8555002 which works with the factory 7-way of your truck.
