Cargo Carrier Recommendation for 120 lb Motorcycle with Class II Hitch

Question:

Can you please tell me how I can transport a 120lb motorcycle on my Class II hitch? I dont have the room on my property to store a trailer but frequently go to OHVs to ride dirt. Is there some carrier combo that would allow my car to carry my bike safely? I understand that using a 1-1/4inch to 2inch adapter would reduce my tongue weight in half but I think given my tongue weight on my hitch is at 350lbs, this might be feasible.

This would depend on the dimensions of your motorcycle. The biggest carrier would be the 19 inch by 47 inch Curt cargo carrier part # C18110 which fits Class II hitches like what you have and has a 300 lb capacity. The total weight of the carrier is 30 lbs which gives you 320 lbs of capacity left over for the weight of your motorcycle. This does not have a ramp that comes with nor is one made specifically for it. So if you're okay with lifting the bike, and it would fit, you could lift it onto the carrier or you could use a ramp like the # 288-07474 to easily get the bike onto the carrier.

Also, is that an electric dirt bike in the picture you sent in? That looks pretty crazy and if it only weighs 120 lbs I bet it's a blast!
