Class III Hitch Recommendation For 2013 Kia Sorento LX

I need a class 3 hitch for a 2013 fwd lx model kia Sorento awd that can handle a 500 lb. toung weight for a wheelchair

I recommend Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch part # 75684 for the 2013 Kia Sorento LX. However, the Draw-Tite hitch will not give you 500 lbs of tongue weight capacity. The highest rated hitch option for the Kia Sorento LX is 350 lbs. If you are carrying the wheelchair on a cargo carrier that will be considered all tongue weight because it's a downward force on the hitch. A better option may be to tow the wheel chair behind the Sorento on a small trailer so that you can get your tongue weight down so it doesn't exceed the capacity of the hitch.

If you decide to tow a trailer, you will need trailer wiring. I would need to know if the Sorento has a factory towing package to recommend the correct wiring harness.
