Connecting 2012 Toyota Sienna 7-Way Backup Light Wires
Question:
In reference to another customer’s question “Adding a 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2012 Toyota Sienna”, could you please clarify the correct way to connect the purple/yellow wires if trailer backup lights will be used? Thank you

Expert Reply:
You will need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test all of the wires going to the reverse lights. Which ever one has voltage only when the reverse lights are on is the one you are looking for. Once determined, you can use these Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector # DW05745-5 to complete the job.
