Availability of Hitch for 2005 Lexus RX330 That Will Be Hidden At the Rear of the Vehicle
Question:
I am looking for a minimally intrusive hitch to carry loads that will not exceed about one ton for generally no more than 3 miles. I have historically bought Hidden Hitches for other vehicles that are 1square, class 2, I believe, because you could not see the hitch except for the cover. Do you have an unobtrusive suggestion.

I will have two trailer hitches that fit your 2005 Lexus RX330. The Curt Class III 2-Inch Hitch, part # 13530 and the Draw-Tite Class III 2-Inch Hitch, part # 75153.
Both of the hitches are a Class III 2-inch receiver size and will have a maximum towing weight capacity of 3,500 lbs. The towing capacity of the Curt hitch increases to 4,000 lbs when used with weight distribution. The installation and where the hitch will be located on the vehicle is the same on all three of the hitches. Be sure to check your owners manual to verify the towing capacity of your vehicle before towing.
When installed the hitch will sit pretty tight under the bumper, but you will be able to see the round tube and the bracket that will go around the exhaust on the passengers side. The hitch will not be totally hidden on the rear of your RX330.
Since you plan on doing some towing I also recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit, part # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag. For trailer lighting you will use the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, part # 118478.
I am including links to the installation instructions on the hitches. I will also link a couple of installation videos on a Lexus RX330 that will show you where the hitch will be positioned on the rear of your vehicle.
