Can I Switch Base Of Reese 16K For Slider To Use in 2015 Ram 2500 With Factory Pucks

Question:

I have the Reese 16k mounted on my truck with a rail adapter that fits in the pucks on my 2015 Ram 2500.... I only have a 6.5 ft bed and I originally used a setup with the sidewinder but hated the sidewinder for hook up and disconnect issues, to much hassle with exact hookups.... anyways I have purchased a new 5th wheel and probably should get a slider setup to fit my Pro Series but my question is will the slider RP3002 work with the rail adapter system?

Since you have the Reese 16K you can switch out the base for the slider base part # RP30048 and use the Reese 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package part # RP30154 like you mentioned. However, I really recommend to switch out the Reese 16K base to a tube slider base part # RP50024 because the handle is easier to use and it slides smoother. The slider will provide you the clearance that you need to tow with your short bed truck.
