Reese has said the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter like part # RP85FR normally fits on a recessed hitch ball on a flat bed truck however, it really depends how recessed the ball is and the dimensions of the opening around the ball.
At 4 inches from the very bottom of the coupler where it connects to the gooseneck hitch ball, the clamp mechanism of the Goose Box at its very widest point is just 7-1/2 inches. The clamp mechanism will sit about 1-1/2 inches above the floor of the recessed area.
The Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter RP85FR is designed to replace Lippert 1621, 1621HD, and 0719 pin boxes.
