Can the Draw-Tite Hitch 76138 for a 2016 Mazda CX-5 Be Used for Towing
Question:
I see no questions regarding towing a travel trailer. Everything seems to pertain to bicycle racks, etc. I know the CX-5 has a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 lbs. Would this hitch work to pull a light weight travel trailer? Thanks.

Yes, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76138 can absolutely be used to tow a trailer on a 2016 Mazda CX-5 as well as a 2013-2019. The majority of customers use the vehicle for bike racks but that does not mean you cannot still tow just be sure to keep the weight of the trailer under 2,000 lbs as that is the vehicle's towing capacity. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver is a custom fit so no drilling is required. I have attached a photo for you as well.
In order to complete your towing setup you will also need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118563 which is plug and play and the Ball Mount Kit part # 989900.
