Can 205/75-15 Trailer Tire Be Mounted on Automotive Wheel
Question:
can i mount a trailer tire size 205/75 15 inch onto a aluminum 15 inch universal rim that came off a s-10 truck? my concern is the inside width of the rim is bigger than 5 and a half inches...

A 205/75-15 tire can be used on a 5, 5-1/2, 6 or a 6-1/2 inch wide wheel. As long as the wheel has a compatible bolt pattern, what you propose will work just fine. I've linked you to a series of articles that have more information about trailer tires and wheels than you can shake a stick at.
