Parts Needed to Install Derale Electra-Cool Combo Cooler Assembly on a 2017 GMC Acadia Limited
Question:
I have a 2017 GMC Acadia Limited and I would like to buy D15220 to help cool down the heat in the transmission and oil of our Acadia. What other parts will I need to hookup the electric for the fan? Do I need any additional mounting hardware?

Helpful Expert Reply:
To install the Derale Electra-Cool Combo Engine and Transmission Cooler Assembly w/ Fan # D15220 on your 2017 GMC Acadia Limited you need the Installation Kit # D13023 and the Remote Engine Oil Cooler Installation Kit w/Thermostat Fan Control # D15752. You'll also need 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 for the power and ground as well as some ring terminals on the ends to connect them to power and ground. I have attached the installation instructions for you to check out.
The kit with the thermostat fan control will automatically turn the fan on at 180 degrees and stay on until the temperature gets down to 165 degrees. Some people like installing a manual switch on the power line but I like the thermostat option because it's one less thing you have to worry about.
