Front Running Lights Not Working On Travel Trailer But Others Are
Question:
Both front side markers not working and both upper and bottom porch lights out . One front door side upper running light working and all rear running and break and side markers working but not real bright ? Please help sir . No breakers tripped all fuses good and replaced all the lights and bases with no luck . Even replaced switch inside to the porch light . No change . And checked the main ground wire and all looks good . Thought I’d ask a pro before trying to trace with meter ? The lights worked fine for aprox two months then went out . The dealership went bankrupt a month after we bought it .

If you only have a few running lights out on the trailer then that would point to signs of a power interruption or a poor ground. The same could be said for your porch lights as well which I assume are either ran to the trailer connector or trailer battery. The bad new is that there is not much than be can be done save for tracing the wires back. I would first start by running a ground jumper wire to each light that is not working. If the light still does not function then we know we have some sort of power interruption and will need to trace the wire back and pull our volt meter out to see if you can tell where the power stops. The same will need to be done for the porch light as well.
I wish I had some more pointers for you or certain areas to look but unfortunately this issue is only going to be resolved by tracing wires. I have attached a trailer wiring help article for you to take a look at as well.
