We have exactly what you need for your 2020 Chevy Equinox to get you and your family out riding together.
For a trailer hitch I recommend the Draw-Tite # 76419 because it has a hidden crosstube which gives it a really clean look once installed. I have attached a sample installation video and some pictures of this on a 2019 Equinox that you can check out.
Then for a bike rack I recommend either the Kuat NV 2.0 Base # BA22B-BA02B which is a high-quality platform bike rack that grips bikes by the wheels for no frame contact, or the Yakima FullSwing # Y02465 which holds bikes by their top tube so there is contact but the biggest advantage to this bike rack is that it swings out of the way for complete access to the rear hatch with the bikes loaded.
Either of these bike racks are an excellent option that you'd be happy with. If any of your bikes doesn't have a horizontal top tube then you'll need the adapter bar # Y02531 for them to hang level for the FullSwing. I have attached review videos for each bike rack that you can check out.
