We recommend using the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 31302 for hooking up a snowplow to your 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500. I have attached a sample installation video of this on a 2003 Tahoe that you can check out as well as a link to our selection of snowplows designed for your Silverado like the SnowBear # SB324-081 which raises and lowers the snowplow via electric winch.
