Parts Needed to Convert From Electric Drum Brakes to Electric-Hydraulic Brakes on 2018 Raptor 355TS
Question:
We want to change our electric drum brakes on our 2018 Raptor 355TS Toy hauler to disc brakes electric over hydraulic. What do you suggest for this? We want it to stop. We tow with 2017 Ford Platinum F350 Super Duty that has towing package and 5th wheel package. Please advise all parts needed.

We have all the parts you need to swap from electric drum brakes to electric over hydraulic brakes on your 2018 Keystone Raptor 355TS.
The first thing you will need are a hub and rotor disc brake kit. I was able to find that your '18 Raptor 355TS has a pair of 7,000 lb Dexter axles so you will need two of the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 7,000-lb Dexter Axle # K2HR758D, which are a hub with an integrated rotor. Since this kit does not come with bearings or grease seal you will need to order two of Grease Seals 10-36 # RG06-070 (they come in a package of two), and four each of inner bearing # 25580 and outer bearing # 02475.
With the hubs and brakes taken care of you will then need to add brake lines with the HydraStar Hydraulic Brake Line Kit - Tandem Axle - 25' Long # HS496-252. Next, you will need the HydraStar Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator with Breakaway and 7-Way RV Harness # HS381-9067, which comes with the electric over hydraulic actuator, breakaway box, 7-way, and wiring required so you can have the best braking possible - the power of disc brakes with the responsiveness of electric brakes.
Finally, you will need a brake controller that is compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes if your 2017 Ford F-350 does not already have one, and for that I highly recommend the the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR with Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness # 331-TPH-007 because it is controlled by just a knob that is both extremely easy to use and also keeps a bulky unit out of the cab of your truck.
I have added links to a number of video reviews, video installs and instruction manuals for you to check out as well.
