Orientation of Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer RM-RBK22-RSSA on Tie Rods
Question:
I have two questions. I watched video on installation. It showed the stabilizer mounted to the bottom of the bracket on the tie-rod. After torquing bolt the next scene showed it on top of bracket. Which is correct? Second question is......what size are the bolts that hold bracket to axle? The bolts that hold sway bar bracket to axle. It says to use same bolts. Mine are gone. It is on passenger side.

We've had this exact question come up before a couple times. But we have spoken with Roadmaster regarding the Reflex Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Brackets # RM-RBK22-RSSA and they told us that with regards to installation and function, the orientation of the tie rod bracket does not matter. The bracket can be mounted to the bottom of the tie rod (with the u-bolts going around the top) or to the top of the tie rod with the u-bolts going around the underside and it will work perfectly either way. She did say that it is typically easier to have the brackets on the bottom as pictured in their installation manual so this is why they show this orientation.
Factory U-bolts you are missing would need to be sourced at a Ford dealer as they are not a standard bolt size. I am actually shocked you are missing them since they are what hold the spring pack to the suspension like in the picture I attached.
