Different Ways To Carry An E-Bike On a 2004 Honda Pilot
Question:
Will this hold a 55lb eBike weight with battery removed if its the only bike on it? It says it holds two 35lb bikes, but if I only put the one eBike on? Thanks!

The only way to carry an e-bike on a vehicle is with a hitch mounted bike rack because none of the trunk mounted or roof mounted bike carriers can handle the weight of this type of bike even if only one bike is carried. That said, the installation of a trailer hitch is very easy for most vehicles and they rarely require any permanent modifications. The other major advantage that the trailer hitch option has over a trunk mount or roof mount bike rack is that you can use the trailer hitch for many other tasks such as pulling a trailer, using a cargo carrier, or in this case a hitch mount bike rack.
For your 2004 Honda Pilot, I recommend the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98851 which is easy to install and does not require any drilling. This can then be used with the Inno Tire Hold 1 Bike Platform Rack part # INH110 to carry an e-bike.
