The Buyers Products Cast Coupler - Adjustable Channel Mount - Auto Latch - 2" Ball - 10,000 lbs # 3370091540 is designed for a 3" channel width. I contacted Buyers Products on your behalf to get their install perspective. The industry standard channel is 3" and your bracket would not work with the Buyers coupler in their view. I also went to our warehouse and pulled one to confirm the measurement and the channel is definitely 3" wide. I don't see a 2-7/8" channel coupler available in our inventory.
The Buyers Products Coupler w/ 3-Position Adjustable Channel - Auto Latch - 2" Ball - 10,000 lbs # 3370091543 coupler is another possibility.
