Can't Find Trailer Wiring Fuses/Breakers of 2012 Ram Truck  

Question:

my running lights work on my bumper pull trailers both plugs but the brake lights and turn signals dont on a 2012 ram diesel. I checked fuse J1 and J14 and they are good is there another fuse? also the goose neck plug all the lights work

The trailer wiring of your 2012 Ram has a odd circuit protection setup that can only be reset by a Ram dealer. The TIPM acts as a fuse/breaker for the trailer wiring circuits and when it shorts out only a dealer can reset it.

The best way around the TIPM is to bypass it all together with the trailer wiring. For that you can use the wiring harness part # 119178KIT for a 4-way, and then for converting the 4-way to a 7-way you would want to use part # 37185 for if you don't have a brake controller and part # ETBC7 for if you do.
