No Power On 12V Circuit Of 7-Way On New 2019 Ford F-250

Question:

Just bought new 2019 F-250SD. The 12v charger wire works when it wants to. The owners manual says it’s fuse 27and37. Both spots on my truck have no fuse. What other fuse could it be? Thank you

If your 2019 Ford F-250 has an integrated brake controller then you most likely will not have a fuse in spot 37 because they are normally there in non-trailer brake controller trucks. The issue is the 12V pin on most newer Ford trucks will not activate unless the trailer is plugged in or you can manually activate it inside the cab by selecting "tow mode" on the dash according to our research. Otherwise, the 12V circuit will not be activated all of the time. You may also need to tap on the brake to activate it.

You could always bypass the factory wiring by extending a 10 gauge wiring like part # 10-1-1 to the 12V pin on the back of the 7-way to the positive side of the vehicle's battery via a 40 amp breaker like part # 9510.
