Tips for Installing Curt Cargo Basket C18115 on 2015 Honda CR-V with Factory Crossbars
Question:
I have a 2016 Honda CR-V with a sloping back end, the current rear mounting brackets that came with the cargo basket are touching/denting in my roof. Is there a low profile bracket that can be used to secure the rack?

We had the chance to install the Curt Cargo Basket part # C18115 on the roof of a 2015 Honda CR-V with factory crossbars just like your 2016 model and we didn't have any issues with the brackets hitting the roof. I attached an install video that shows this installed on the CR-V for you to check out and compare to your install. Is it possible you have the brackets attached to the wrong bars on the basket? Maybe try using a different set of bars to attach them to.
