Can the Equal-i-zer 10K Be Used On a 5K Trailer If Upgrading Soon

Question:

Im purchasing a travel trailer with GVRW of ~5,000lbs. Would there be any advantage/disadvantage of purchasing Item #EQ37100ET with a 10k lb GTW/1klb TW as compared to Item #EQ37060ET with a 6k lb GTW/600lb TW e.g. - better/worse sway control, etc.? I see the price is identical and thinking about getting the bigger one for any possible future upgrades to a bigger travel trailer, but want to make sure my current setup is optimal.

I have spoken with Equal-i-zer in the past and they have said that you can go with the larger system (to an extend) in light of upgrading the trailer down the line without any adverse side affects. Therefore, the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System part # EQ37100ET would work well for you. The advantage is that you can upgrade when needed without replacing parts not necessarily that the higher rated system will work better.

Please note, the above Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System does come with a 2-5/16" hitch ball so you might need to swap that out for the 2" Hitch Ball for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems part # EQ91-00-6080 in the meantime.
