Troubleshooting Power Tongue Jack that Doesn't Work Quickly with One Specific Truck Battery is Good
Question:
I am hooking up the travel trainer with my 2016 Ram pickup using the 7 pin connector. However, when I connect it the power Tongue, it does not move up or down, it almost sounds like its dying. However, when we use a friends 2017 Silverado Truck, it works no problem. I have replaced the battery in my truck with his, and still nothing, but his still works. What else do i need to look at?

Sounds like the wiring from your truck battery back to the 7-pin connector is a thinner gauge and not able to provide enough current to operate the jack like you want. So what I would recommend you do is bypass the factory wiring with heavier gauge 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by foot) as most likely you have 12 gauge now which is just too light.
You'll also want to run this circuit through a breaker like part # 9510 too and you'd be set.
