Will this bike rack fit a 2009 JCW Mini Cooper convertible?

First, you will need to install a trailer hitch on your 2009 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works model. I spoke with my contact at Curt and he said that the JCW model is not excluded so you can use # 11130.

You will need to cut a hole in the rear bumper fascia in order to install trailer hitch # 11130. I have included a link to the installation details and a video for you to view. I have seen several different styles of the John Cooper Works models of the 2009 and it looks like if yours is one that has that little light above the exhaust, the hitch will not fit.

This is a Class I trailer hitch and the Swagman Trailhead, # S63360, is compatible with a Class I trailer hitch so it will fit the vehicle. I have included a link to the installation instructions for the bike rack as well. Curt also requires the use of a stabilization strap for non-trailer loads for their warranty.
