Why Would Fuse Blow In Lippert Trailer Jack After Sitting For A While

When you mention LCI camper jack, I believe you are referring to Lippert Electric Trailer Jack with Footplate part # LC285318 because you mention the up and down switch. It sounds like there is most likely a ground issue which is why you blew a fuse. The Lippert jack grounds through the mounting hardware and if it was sitting for a while there may be debris or corrosion on trailer. The jack needs to be unbolted from the trailer and the trailer cleaned where the jack is installed. Then re-install the jack and to get a good ground.
The inline fuse needs to be replaced with a 30 Amp blade fuse.
