Question:
Hi recently purchased this to help haul an enclosed 7x14 trailer and was wondering which brake controller to purchase along with this? I’ve got a 2016 Toyota Highlander Thanks!

There are a few brake controller options for your 2016 Toyota Highlander, wired and wireless. If you don't mind running wires through the vehicle and splicing into the factory circuits then a wired brake controller will suit you well. I recommend the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160 for this as it's easy to use, has boost settings for maximum power, and it has a longstanding reputation as being a very reliable option.
If you don't want to run a bunch of wires through the vehicle nor splice in any factory circuits which is best not to do then a wireless brake controller will suit you better. I recommend the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 which is one of the most popular brake controllers on the market. This controller uses your phone so you don't have to learn another entirely new device and you don't have to drill into your dash to mount it like you would for the above.
The Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controllers part # ETBC7 will allow you to install either of the above options with no other parts needed.
