Hub/Drum Recommendation for 1967 Oasis Trailer Getting Dexter 3,500 lb Hub/Drums
Question:
Im in process of rebuilding this trailer and making some upgrades. Id like to install new 3500# dexter axles, however Id also like to use the existing 12x2inch electric drum brake drums Ill be replacing the brakes of course. So to the question: Do bearings exist to allow me to use the new dexter axles I believe spindle type 84 with existing drums hubs? I found a chart at this URL https://www.etrailer.com/question-76194.html that you guys use to determine this I think, so below are the measurements from my existing axles along with bearing/seal numbers. I would greatly appreciate any help youre able to offer. A: 1.510 B: 1.375 C: 1.250 D: .845 E: .750 F: 2.050inch Hub: 6 on 5.5inch dia. Existing bearings/seals: M12649 .844inch ID x 1.968inch OD x .69inch Thick LM48548 1.375inch ID x 2.5625inch OD x .71inch Thick HADCO 3077 1.74inch ID x 2.56inch OD

Thanks for getting me all of the info listed. I can tell you really did your homework on this. But to answer your question there isn't a modern style of bearing that's going to allow you to reuse the hub/drums you have now since the bearings and dimensions do not match anything we offer now.
So since you are going to a Dexter 3,500 lb axle and you have a bolt pattern of 6 on 5-1/2 inch the hub/drums you'd need are the # 84656UC3-EZ and you'd be set. This comes with the correct bearings and seals as well.
