Thule Helium Aluminum 3 Bike Carrier Compatibility with a 2012 Subaru Outback 2.5
Question:
I have a 2012 Subaru Outback 2.5. I had the Subaru hitch installed when I bought the car. Is this rack compatable with the Subaru hitch? If not, what do you recommend to carry 3 bikes?

The Thule Helium Aero Aluminum 3 Bike Carrier, # TH9043PRO, will fit on the hitch on your 2012 Subaru Outback 2.5 as long as the receiver opening on your hitch is either 1-1/4 inches or 2 inches wide and the hitch pin hole is greater than or equal to 1.5 inches from the outside lip of the hitch. If the hitch on your vehicle is a Class I hitch, then you will be limited to carrying 2 bikes at a time. I have attached an article that can help you determined the size of the receiver on your hitch.
This bike rack is one of the more popular bike racks we offer and you may also want the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, # TH982XT, for womens and childrens bikes. The adapter bar will allow you to carry bikes with slanted or alternative bike frames level. I have attached a video demonstrating this bike rack and adapter bar for you to check out.
