Vents for Sealed Battery Box In RV
Question:
Hi there, I am searching for a vented battery box for an inside battery installation.I modified my electrical requirement by changing from a single 12 volt outside battery to dual 6 volt golf cart batteries. There was no room for these batteries in the single 12v position which was on the very forward part of the trailer tongue in front of the LPG bottles.I moved them inside under the settee near the luggage door for venting but would like to have them in a sealed and vented box.A friend has this set up but i cannot find a box that is vented to the outside that will hold dual golf cart batteries.Do you know of any on the market?thanks

For venting a battery box to the outside of an RV we have the vents for the side of the RV with the Valterra Battery Box Cone Vent # A10-3300-05. That said we don't have a totally sealed battery box that will fit both of your batteries. We have boxes that could fit both of your batteries but the lids of them are vented so it would not be ideal for your batteries unless you were able to create a sealed room for the battery box. It looks like most people make custom enclosures for the batteries to allow them to vent to the outside of the RV using vents like the part # A10-3300-05.
