Can Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544 be Used with Mobility Scooter

Question:

Hi, can I use this adapter on a Toyota sienna? My previous scooter carrier was hitting the ground on small and could not use the carrier. Can I use this adapter, that is the top opening to the scooter carrier ? Scooter is about 100lbs. Thank you

You can use the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544 in the two inch hitch of your 2013 Toyota Sienna but you should note that when you use adapters like this you cut the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent due to the added leverage and movement created by it. So you'd need to add up the weight of your carrier and scooter and compare that to half of your hitch's tongue weight capacity to know if this will work or not.
