Can You Tow with the B&W Patriot Slider Slide Back On a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500

Question:

So if i get this hitch installed in my 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. When traveling down the road, it needs to be positioned closer to the front of the bed. Then when i get to campsite, it needs to me moved to furthest from front of the bed. Can you travel with it in the slid position where it is close to the tailgate for trick corners or no.

The B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3270 should only be slid back for making tight turns, not while traveling. The normal towing position would be with the center section closest to the cab whereas the extended position for making tight turns would be with the center section slid back furthest away from the cab and should only be used while maneuver in tight spaces. The center section would not need to be slid back while traveling as you would rarely be making turns sharp enough to cause an issue but when you pull into the campground that is when you would want to slide the center section back away from the cab.

In order to install the B&W Patriot on your 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 you will need to use the B&W Custom Installation Kit part # BWRVK2600 which does not require any drilling into the frame.
