Bike Rack Solutions for Bike with Fender, Rear Rack and Stop Through Frame
Question:
We have 2 e-bikes, one is a cruiser style and one is a step-thru alternative frame. both have fenders. I can probably use the frame mount option for the cruiser but that wont work for the step-thru unless I have a bar that runs from the seat post to the handlebar stem. Im wondering if I use the wheel mount option on the step-thru, is it safe to angle the pivoting upright arms at about 60-65 degrees to hold the tire in front of the fender?

We have bike rack solutions that work great with your cruiser bike that has fenders, rear rack, and a deep step through frame but none of the wheel attachment style racks like the Rola Convoy can be used. The arm has to grab the tire right near the forks to secure properly.
Instead you'd want the Thule DoubleTrack Pro part # TH92BJ if your bikes weigh less than 35 lbs which has a clamp design that works great with step through frames like what you have and it makes no difference if there are fenders or racks on the bikes. Now if your bikes weigh more than 35 lbs per bike you'd need to go with the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202 instead. This rack was designed for the heavier e-bikes with similar setups as yours and has a capacity of 65 lbs per bike.
