Replacement 1116 Pin Box to Gain Cab Clearance with 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
Will the 1716 fit where I now have a 1116? I would like to have a little more distance between truck cab and camper nose that it looks like the 1716 would provide.

I do have a great option for you, however the Trailair Air Ride # LC158777 for 1716 pin boxes will not fit with your existing 1116 model pin box brackets. The mounting/bolt holes will not be compatible.
To gain cab clearance your best option is with the 5th Airborne Premium w/ Sidewinder # RP61412 that creates a smoother ride. This will move the pivot point 22 inches toward the rear of your truck, eliminating any concerns for cab interference with the trailer nose. It will fit your existing Lippert 1116 pin box perfectly and has a towing weight capacity of 16,000 pounds.
