Can Disc Brake Actuator be Connected With Elbow After Solenoid

Question:

Is the solenoid ok to be connected with an elbow pointed down Hi, I am replacing the brake system on the trailer I just procured. I have minimal space behind the actuator due to a vertical support. Is it ok to attach a 90 degree elbow to the actuator before the solenoid so the solenoid will fit? Attached an image for reference. What do you recommend in this tight space?

I don't see any reason why you can't connect an elbow to in the manner you are speaking of with a disc brake actuator like the Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator - Disc Brakes - 2" Ball - Zinc Plated - 7,500 lbs # 099-175-20. The shock in the actuator needs to be perfectly horizontal, of course, but there's no reason you can't attach a 90 degree elbow to ensure you can get the fit you need.
