Making Connections Under the Hood to Install a Trailer Brake Controller on a 2004 Chevy Silverado

i have an 04 silverado without towing package i need to hook a brake box up i have bought every thing my pig tail is not hook up to fuse box i found the red and blue wire under the hood were dose the blue wire hook to

The wiring adapter that you have referenced, # 3015-P, is the correct harness to plug into the port under the dash on your 2004 Chevy Silverado. Even if you do not have a factory tow package on the truck, this is still the correct harness.
It plugs into a port behind a junction box on the bottom left side under the dash. It connects to the empty spot on the top row, second from the left. I have included a link to a video that should help.
Under the hood, you will need to make some connections to make everything functional. We actually have an FAQ article that covers everything you will need to do for the installation. I have included a link to it also. The blue wire will need to be ran to the back of the vehicle to a 7-Way trailer connector.
If 12 volt power also needs to be run to the back of the truck for the 7-Way, you can use about 25 feet of # 10-2-1. One wire will be for the blue wire, and the other for power to the 7-Way.
