Tow Bar Lighting Solution for 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Flat Towed

Question:

I am installing a Blue Ox Tow bar system and the invisee brake from etrailer. In the video it refers to other parts required. Is there a list of other parts required so that I can order them to get here with the rest of the kit? Thanks

Sounds like you have the tow bar, base plate, and supplemental braking components covered and wanting the rest of the components you'd need to safely flat tow your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

You're almost there but the last big component you need is a lighting solution to allow motorists behind you to know when you are changing lanes/slowing down etc.

For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV. I attached an install video for this kit on a 2017 Wrangler similar to yours as well.

Most likely you will also need a high low adapter so that the tow bar will be level when you are flat towing. I attached a link to a page that has all of the ones we carry.
