The process to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 on your 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is very easy to do as it is completely plug and play. This would not require professional installation and can be completed in under 10 minutes I would say. The only thing you will need save for the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 is the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter part # 3014-P.
The plug that you will need to locate to use the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter can be found using the attached video. This is on a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee but the process will be similar if not the same as your 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I have also attached a photo if you still can't find it after watching the video.
